DORSAL FIN WATER DAMAGE
Applicable to the Schneider ES 60 Boomerang. Two cases of water damage to the airframe structure within the FRP dorsal fairing at the base of the vertical fin and its junction with rear fuselage have been detected. During rain, water has entered the fin / tailplane junction fairing through the opening for the tailplane mounting tube. The water has then seeped into the space between the dorsal fairing and base of the vertical fin. Drainage holes are required in the FRP fairings on both sides of the aircraft.
