During the June 2024 Operations Panel meeting, the Operations Panel identified an omission in MOSP 2. The previous MOSP 2 recognised power flying training for the Self-launching Powered Sailplane endorsement.
What has changed?
The following paragraph will be added to MOSP 2 in the future.
“Pilots holding a GFPT or higher Licence or a pilot certificate issued by RAAus, on becoming members of the Gliding Australia may be issued with a self-launching Powered Sailplane Endorsement at the discretion of a Level 2 or higher rated Instructor. However, pilots must be trained and be familiar with glider operations to solo standard.”
