Gliding Australia (GAus) Manual of Standard Procedures Part 2 Operations (MOSP 2) specifies the validity periods for medical declarations and certificates. Forms OPS F006(a) Declaration of Physical Fitness and OPS F006(b) Medical Practitioner’s Certificate of Fitness required changes to match section 39 of MOSP2.
The medical conditions listed in OPS F006(a) requiring a Medical Practitioner's Certificate of Fitness to be completed have been clarified to meet contemporary CASA and risk requirements. If a pilot is in any doubt as to their fitness to fly, professional medical advice should be sought and Form F006(b) completed. Certificates from specialists as well as GPs can be provided in addition to but not replacing the form
