AD 232 CANCELS GFA AD 153 AND AD 164 APPLICABLE TO THE STANDARD CIRRUS SAILPLANE AND INCLUDES TN 278-21 REFERENCE FOR INCORPORATION OF CONTROL ACCESS HATCH

CANCELLED - Refer GFA AN 080

Applicable to all Std Cirrus models. GFA AD 153 and AD 164 were issued requiring an inspection hatch to be provided in the top center fuselage area. This modification evolved from Schempp-Hirth TN 278-21 which was provided by the manufacture with (a) an optional classification, and (b) an incorrect location dimension. This AD cancels and replaces both AD 153 and AD 164. The modification to Schempp Hirth TN 278-21 is reclassified as optional. TN 50 has been issued strongly recommending the incorporation of TN 278-21. The hatch location has been amended on AN 50 to put the hole in a better location.

Note: GFA AN 050 was subsequently cancelled and replaced by AN 080.
