The release of ANAC AD RA No. 2024-05-01 for the Piper Pawnee tow planes has caused major downtime for gliding operations around Australia. The requirement for the maximum period between flight reviews is currently two years. The Gliding Australia Operations Panel has reviewed this period and extended it to two years and three months. This will allow members and clubs to arrange flight reviews and schedule around tow plane downtime.
